Our Story
Since moving to the Olympic Peninsula in 2015, James has been looking for a place to call his own. Through the process of working with multiple businesses and nonprofits in the community, the fit was never quite right.
Through many late-night conversations about the importance of prevention, lack of affordable space conducive to teaching movement, and the desire for more connection between community organizations, the foundation was ripe when this space came available.
THE HIVE is the manifestation of the combined education and experience in martial arts, yoga, massage therapy, acupuncture, psychology, business, anthropology, construction trades, military training, and parenthood. THE HIVE seeks to foster the individual and community health that we hope to see spread throughout Jefferson County, WA. It is a work in progress. It is a collaboration between each of the instructors, businesses and nonprofits that will call it home.
